Chennai – In a blistering reply to DMK chief M.K. Stalin’s recent attacks on the AIADMK-BJP alliance, AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition, Edappadi K. Palaniswami, has fired back in a strong counter-attack.
Palaniswami addressed Stalin’s comments on “X”, pointing out the DMK chief’s so-called sleepless nights due to the changing political scenario. “Stalin, who is the Chief Minister of the DMK government, once admitted in a DMK general council meeting that he was losing sleep on the issues that were going to come up,” Palaniswami said.

He also cited recent controversies such as a controversial speech by Minister K. Ponmudy and stated that the declaration of the AIADMK alliance had seemingly fallen like a thunderbolt, prompting Stalin to issue a statement in a state of near panic.
Palaniswami spoke about the DMK’s past actions, saying they would be rectified through this alliance. He also made a reference to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s declaration of a “common minimum program for the welfare of Tamil Nadu,” indicating that Stalin lay awake all night trying to figure out “What it would be?” and then issuing all his past blunders as a statement.
The AIADMK leader then asked Stalin about his concern for Tamil Nadu, especially law and order. “Do you have even a shred of the concern for the people of Tamil Nadu, especially women, who voted for you, that you have for the problems in Manipur? What right do you have to talk about law and order when you have dug the security for women?”, he asked.

Palaniswami also questioned Stalin on the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) issue, asking who brought NEET to India. He asked which alliance battled in the Supreme Court to make it hold. “Answer these questions before discussing NEET,” he dared.
He blamed Stalin for being well beyond his best politically. “Stalin, the reel of your film is running out. AIADMK will never let go of Tamil Nadu or our state rights. Instead, it will strive to obtain our state rights.” He condemned DMK’s purported sell-outs on issues of Cauvery and Mullaiperiyar dam.
Palaniswami ended with a sweeping forecast for the 2026 legislative elections. “Flaying the anti-Tamil Nadu and corrupt rule of the DMK, the AIADMK-led alliance will win the 2026 legislative elections with the support of the people.” He also referred to unnamed people being scared of raids and not being able to release even a “touch-see-poke” video. “The people know very well who is trembling with fear,” he concluded.
This strong reaction from Edappadi Palaniswami paves the way for a fiery political fight in Tamil Nadu, with the AIADMK-BJP alliance posing as a tough rival to the ruling DMK.
